Marsh Brothers’ Brake Master Cylinder Upgrade & Repair Kit gives your leaking cylinder a new lease on life that’s  actually better than the OEM product, and here’s why. O-rings typically don’t make good dynamic piston rod seals. They’re fine for static seals but where movement and wear is involved, there are better options. This upgrade kit replaces the piston rod seal with a specially designed lip seal made of a much more wear-resistant polymer than the OEM O-ring. The MBA gland seal is a lip seal and it offers much more flexibility than an O-ring. If your aircraft is parked on a cold ramp, the rubber seals can harden and shrink. Until the cabin warms up, they can leak. Maybe not much, but a leak is a leak. The MBA rebuild kit gives you everything you need to totally rebuild your master cylinder, and it’s an easy job.
